How-To: Create a "Smart Action" on your Motorola Droid 4.

  • Tap the "Apps" icon on your Home screen.

  • Browse through your apps and tap the "Smart Action" icon.

  • Tap the "Add rule" icon found at the top-right corner of the screen. It's depicted as a "plus" symbol.

  • Select "Start from scratch" from the pop-up window.

  • Tap the "Rule" icon found at the top-left corner of the screen.

  • Browse through the icons and tap on the desired one.

  • Enter a name for the rule by tapping the "New Rule" field.

  • Press the "Add Triggers" button and select the desired trigger.

  • Tap the "Add Actions" button and select the preferred action.

  • Once you're done, tap the "Add rule" button.


How-To: Edit, Remove or Disable Rules.

  • Access the "Smart Actions" application.

  • Tap on the rule you wish to remove or temporarily disable.

  • Tap and hold on the desired trigger or action.

  • A pop-up window should appear. Tap the Edit, Disable or Delete option.


If you wish to temporarily disable all the rules:

  • Access the "Smart Actions" application.

  • Tap the "Menu" sensitive key on your Motorola Droid 4.

  • Press the "Disable all" icon.
