installing operating system for the razr2

I have a razr2 that froze (has an operating system failure) is there any way to re install it? I do have the mini usb to connect with the pc but I can't seem to find the right software to fix it. I have tried countless searches but I must be using the wrong terms its out of warrenty and really not worth it to me to send back for repair I was hoping I could do it myself.
