    My wife and I both have Motorola cell phones. She has the V180 and I have a V400. Her V180 sounds an audible "beep" when she has a new voicemail. Can my V400 do that also? I have looked in the manual and have not found anything.

    yes, go to your messages, hit the menu key, go to voicemail setup, make sure it says "on" under notification to get that beep you need!

    Thanks for the help. I checked and mine was set to "on". Not sure why I get no audible. Maybe it's time to trade for a razr. Do you like yours?

    yea, so far so good, the other thing you might want to check tho, before you give up, is go to your ring styles menu, and go into detail, and scroll down to voicemail and select a ring for your voicemail and see if that makes a difference!
