what phone? What provider? Built in aim client? With cingular there are none of the settings you have listed, just gprs apn, user name and password in the isp settings section.

i dunno about you, but my Razr doesnt have IM as an option. It is AIM. But your situation looks more like my V600, so here is the setup from there:

    IM Server:aol.cwmim.com
    IM Port:1171
    Post URL: /
    Secure logine: no

Also be sure your GPRS and Username and Password are correct they are CASE SENSITIVE.

    GPRS APN: wap.cingular
    User Name: [email protected]
    Password: CINGULAR1
    HTC MDA
    LG CU500

How about if your service provider is T-Mobile? I have an unlocked v3 and it has the same exact thing Teckademics14 has on his screen

I never had an update replace my aim with im. What's funny is if you look close enough to the system files, aim was really im all along. These are correct...

    GPRS APN: wap.cingular
    User Name: [email protected]
    Password: CINGULAR1

I have never seen the other settings.

Actually it really is IM. If you look at enabled features in things like the p2ks and motokit or even by checking the seems. They all show the built in client as IM and not AIM, kinda weird.

Why dont you call the tech support of your service provider and ask them to help. I had similar problem when I signed up for t-zones and the razr was a cingular unlocked razr. The tech pushed some files to my phone and I then had the required menus on my phone.
