I have the Motorola V300...I know horrible phone...but I was wondering if anyone knows how to get free ring tones to it. I have many 30 second clips on my computer, that'd I'd love to get my phone, but I don't know how. I've tried sending the files to myself and everything. Anyone know how to solve this problem...any help would be wonderful. And I'm sorry if this question has been asked a million times...I'm new to this.
    Thanks in advance!

    Larissa, welcome to CPF.

You will need a USB cable and Mobile Phone Tools.

You dont NEED the phone tools and usb cabe, however that can be found on Ebay if you dont want to dish out $30 for a CD and Cable... You can also send it via the WAP Internet. It depends what network carrier do you have? If its t-mobile you can get T-mobile web for $6 a month and upload them to a geocities website or tagtag.com website too... Another options to send them online is a site like freeringers.net which for a single lifetime fee of $8 you can relay all your mp3s and walpapers for life/

Ya, I have tmobile...do you think my best bet would be the $8 thing? I don't want to dish out 6 extra bucks a month. I'm cheap, not to mention broke :\

The V300 needs a special cable you can find it on Ebay and you plug the special cable into the same port that you use to charge the phone in the bottom. When browsing Ebay be careful and make sure you are aware of the shiping arangements and any fine print. Most the time you will find the cable for only $1 and then the sipping from canada to US is like $12-15...just be aware of who you are buying from and the shipping costs other then that some cables are on ebay are quite the deal!
