    i want to buy a verizon razr and unlock it for cingular. How wil that work? Will i still be able to download ringtones and graphics from my carrier and still shop the web and do all that stuff? im just so confused about what the unlocking thing does.

    Umm, unless you can perform magic and convert a CDMA (non-sim card) phone to a GSM (sim card) one then no...there is no way to turn a verizon to a cingular. They are two entirely different types of hardware.
