So today while at the market I placed my Atrix HD of 2 months down beside me(stupid move yes) went to pick it back up and realized it was gone. The store manager said the cameras didnt cover that area, so in literally 2-3 minutes time I went from cell phone to no cell phone. Fortunately my contract with AT&T ends in 17 days so I was going to get a new phone anyway, so sometime this month I'll get a new one. Anyway back to my story.. I called the phone the second I realized it was gone, keep in mind this was a 2-3 minute time frame, it went straight to voicemail, and no one was around other than the people working. Truly a bad day, reminds me that there are no honest people in society, and thus reassured me I have no faith in humanity for a reason. I called AT&T minutes later and used their automated service to cancel both service and "disable wireless device" which I hope means they cannot access any of my old texts messages, files, etc.

Unless you had something on the phone to remote wipe it, then someone would still be able to access your data. It sounds like all you did is turn off the wireless service to the phone.

Did you have insurance on it? I would cash in and then sell the new phone when you are eligible for an upgrade.

Sorry to hear that happened to you.

There are still some honest people. You just need to find them.

What new phone are you planning on getting?
