Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Moto G5 to your computer via USB
- Enable Media Device / File Transfer at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
- Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones / Notifications / Alarms folder(s)
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Sound & Notification
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK to confirm
- Optionally, select to turn Also vibrate for calls ON or OFF
Change a Specific Contacts Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts located on the SIM card or the phones internal memory.
- Open Contacts
- Tap and hold the contact you wish to customize
- Tap Edit > Menu
- Tap Set ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Press OK to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open Settings and scroll to Device
- Tap Sound & Notification
- Tap Default notification ringtone
- Choose the desired notification sound
- Tap OK to confirm
