How-to: Motorola P30: Create and Manage Contacts, Caller Groups, and Clear the Call Log

Create a Contact:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Go to “All contacts”
3. Tap “+”
4. Select an account for syncing the contacts or choose a different storing method
5. Enter the contact’s phone number, name, and other optional details in the appropriate fields
6. Tap “Done”

Import/Export Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Go to “Import/Export”
4. Select to “Import from storage” “Import from SIM” or “Export to storage”
5. Follow the prompts to complete the process

Assign Contacts to Speed Dial:

1. Tap and hold the home screen
2. Access “Widgets”
3. Drag and drop the “Direct Dial” widget over the home screen
4. At the prompt, select the contact you want to associate with the widget

NOTE: You can repeat these steps to add more widgets on the home screen for additional contacts. You can also place these widgets in folders on the home screen by dragging and dropping them one over another.

Delete Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Go to “All contacts”
3. Select the desired contact and tap “Edit”
4. Tap “Menu” > “Delete”
5. Press “OK” to confirm

Reset the Call Log:

1. Launch “Phone”
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Go to “Call history”
4. To view details on a call log entry, tap it
5. To clear the call log, tap “Menu’ > “Clear history” > “Clear call log”

Create a Caller Group via Contact:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Go to “All contacts”
3. Tap the desired contact
4. Tap “More Fields”
5. Go to “Group name” > “Create new group”
6. Enter the desired name for the group and tap “OK”

Assign Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Access “All contacts”
3. Select the contact you want to add to the group
4. Tap “Edit” > “more Fields” > “Group name”
5. Select the desired caller group
6. Tap “OK” to confirm
