I checked the software on my boost i730 and it says i730 b and software was something like rao.00.008 I know this is the version with the fixed GPS because gps works fine on it.
Is this the bad version of the i730 where the reception is terrible? how do I upgrade it to i730 t (the fixed version with the auto cycle wallpaper) or can boost users do this? My reception has been good except when I'm at my sister's house. My i285 got only slightly better reception and with my i730 I have to extend the atennae to get a signal sometimes. I heard unscrewing the antennae and removing a red rubber ball will fix the signal?????? i dont want to screw up my phone and generally I get a good signal but just wondering.

take it to an authorized nextel service center or if u have a data cable u can do it yourself....it's easier at the ASC tho.
