Hey guys, new to the site and hope yall can help me out with a problem Im having.

Ive got an I860 right now, but am tryn to swap the SIM to a I710 (I860 is damaged). The swap works, however, I cant send or receive text messages on the 710 after the swap. The link in the Net menu directs me to the Message Center which the 710 doesnt have.

    any thoughts? thanks in advance.

The person who gave me the 710 had text messaging enabled on it so I would assume that it is. The problem is when I put in the I860 SIM, I cant receive any TM's or access the messaging menu.

    anyone else??? thanks again

in general, the sim card for an i860 is "different" than a sim card for any other falcon phone. i710s don't have the ability to tm like the 860 however the old tm is still available!

really? I hate to be a total noob but how would i go about accessing them?

The I710 w/ the 860 card wont receive the TM's and I cant send them either. It gives me a message referrering me to the "Message Center" which the 710 doesnt have

they are probably encoded differently with an i860 that might be why the 860 SIM cant work with the 710, im not 100% sure tho, i could be wrong.
