What type of "Poly-Tunes" have you tried to use?
My brother had the same problem - the phone wouldn't open any midis.
That is, until we converted them to SP-Midi before transferring them.
Type-1 and Type-0 - midis will NOT work on a 35x0!
How to convert the files?
I used CodingWorkshop, maybe someone can tell you a free program...?

Yes, that very famous PSMPlayer.
You can google it and get the result and download it. It is around 500-600Kb, and it is free also. Unlike the Coding Workshop Ringtone Convertor. What you lookin' here for ehhh?

I have a Nokia 3530. The 3530 can only play Polyphonic ringtones at 4 notes at a time. Any polyphonic rintone that has more that 4 notes at any one time will result in "Unable to open file" which i found on some of mine. I have never had a prob with the size limit....i have some that are like 40 kb and stuff. Just get the right polyphonics and you should be rite, trial and error.

That's why I say stick to Samsung for Ringtones. I don't need to worry about tracks, as my 40-poly phone takes whatever I throw at it, while my Nokia is very fussy. I tried playing a 16-chord midi, and it refused to play. I then tried a 8 chord MIDI(Mozart Symphony 40), it played, but with "beats", quality far poorer than my Samsung.

There isn't any attachment over there.
If by chance you put it in the next post, then you'd be in for trouble, read point 4. of the 12 commandments. I guess someone must have read that.
Well, you could edit your post and attach the tone. The EDIT button is next to the QUOTE, then they'll have no reason to delete your post. Ever ready to fix tones...What you lookin' here for ehhh?

I have a 3530, and the file size limit is over 10k. I don't know how much though.
All Nokias that support 4-note polyphony need them to be converted to sp-midi with only 4 tracks being played at once.
The higher end Nokias support 16 or 24 notes at once, so most likely you don't need to convert them at all.
I have some free 4-note polyphony ringtones on my website:
