    Hi,

Could somebody please tell me a solution to my problem. Im a total Newbee

I have a nokia 6610 and i want to upload some midi files into the cell through the IR port. But whenever i upload a midi more than 11kb the cell rejects it. I tried to upload the midi on a 7250 and it works fine. on the nokia 6610, any midi below 11kb works. And any midi with just 11kb in size sounds totally bad. I would like to know if there is any way to break this lock or is it the software of the cell which needs to be updated. Please let me know. Thanks

This isn't actually possible. I've got a 6610 that has a ringtone of 66kb (Brandenburg Concerto No. 5). If you need PM me the ringtone, and I'll fix it up because maybe the tracks haven't been selected properly by you.
Else if you have GPRS then you can upload it to a free wapsite and try downloading it from there. It should work.
What you lookin' here for ehhh?

are you saying that the nokia 6610 has just 4 tones in it. And i can only upload 4 tones. Thats very bad if its ture because a 4 tone ringtone will sound very very bad. Is there no way to increase no. of tones?

Nope. The max. with a Nokia S40 (not sure about 3200 and 6230) is only 4-chords. Yes, I know it sounds bad, that's why I've got a Samsung 40-chord(C100) phone also

4-notes sounds fine as long as the person who made the sp-midi did it right (for most songs).

It might be rejecting them because they are not sp-midi?
