I just got a brand-new Nokia 6010 through T-Mobile. One of the things I found lacking was Nokia's "ring ring" ringtone. It was available on all of my previous Nokia cellphones (all of which are the 5100 series), but it's nowhere to be found on this phone.

I've tried searching the web for a MIDI file for this purpose, to no avail. While I've come up with some nifty ringtones at no cost, I haven't come up with the one ringtone for which I've been desperately searching. A ringtone that actually sounds like a phone ring. I'd like one that sounds like an old-style phone with a metallic bell ringer, but even a more modern electronic ringer sound would work.

So my question is this: does anyone know where I can find such a MIDI?

How do I connect Nokia 6010 to computer?

I don't have an answer for your question, but maybe you can help me... I also just got a Nokia 6010 and have not been able to figure out how to connect my phone to my computer. Is it even possible? I don't think that it has an IR port, but if there is a cable that would work I would definitely like to know about it! Any ideas? TIA!

There is no IR port, though there may be a cable you can get. How I did it was through t-zones, and if you're with t-mobile the Unlimited T-Zones is like $5 a month (the unlimited part means you can surf anywhere on the web). I posted the files I wanted to download onto my own webserver and downloaded them to my phone from there.
I don't know if t-mobile is the only provider which uses the Nokia 6010.
I did, however, manage to get a suitable ringtone to use for the effect that I wanted.
