I just bought a nokia 6315i from verizon. It doesn't have a key lock on it. The only way is through the 8 step program via the menu items. I looked into other new nokias and also LG (8600) and a motorola in the phone help section at verizonwireless and they all lock the same way, through a bunch of steps starting at the menu. Is the good ol' menu/star or some quick key combination for locking the phone, gone? I can't believe the phone companies did this. It really sucks when trying to lock it up quick to put in my pocket or a holder. I was thinking of replacing my nokia 3589i with an lg 9900, but I got to have a quick key lock option. Is that even a verizon option any more?

Re: verizon keygaurd /key lock
well...I can't remember my how I lock my wife's moto...but as for the LG 8600, all you need to do is hold down the # key for about a second and it will automatically lock the keys as will all LG phones.

Re: verizon keygaurd /key lock
My wife's motorola is <menu, * >, that turns it on or off. On my new Nokia 6315i, holding the # button down goes right into vibrate mode. But I haven't found a combo that turns on the key lock.

Anybody know the answer to this question? A way to lock the keys of a 6315i without using a code?
