Where do they hide the files?? Help!

I would like to get a ringtone off an old Nokia 6820 phone to use it on another Nokia.The Nokia 6820 is connected to my computer via bluetooth and I can access it with the Nokia PC Suite, but I can only find "my" files. Where are all the phone files and the ringtones that came with the phone???

I have spent a few hours looking at the web for how I might do this and maybe for some sort of software that will alow me to access the phone's system files, but i'm no closer to knowing now than when I started! I would really appreciate any help.

since the files were already on the phone, they are copyright so u'll hardly be able to copy them..i tried moving them to my memory card once but they just wouldnt allow it. im sorry for being of no help

Thanks for the replies. If it can't be done at least I now know I've completely and utterly wasted my time scouring the web - no change there then! I've looked on cell11.com for the ringtone "caprice" but I haven't found it anywhere. There was reference to it on a forum some years back as available from rapidshare but it's long gone.

i found this site but it says 'arabic caprice'..duno if thats the same as what your looking for. its in the title area

Have you tried entering Gallery on the phone? There you can find Tones and see if it works sending them from there. Good Luck

na you cant send it from gallery..ive tried it. coz its copyright you wont be able to. Si, how bout downloading nokia pc suite and connect your phone through cable. you might be able to make a backup of all your files..and then transfer them to a new phone.

Thanks for all the replies. I just recorded it onto my computer with the mic and put it on my new phone. Sounds almost perfect!
