Nokia 5130 Xpress Music Unlock Help

Hello,

I am trying to unlock my Nokia 5130 Xpress Music phone I just bought from T-Mobile. I have tried one code already and it failed to unlock the phone. I used this code and it failed:

#pw+8660824253+1#

Can anyone help get a unlock code that works. I don't want to pay a fortune to unlock the phone but if I must I wanted to pay as little as possible or nothing at all. The one or two free sites I tried gave me the same code as above and it doesn't work. Can anyone please help a guy out?

I don't believe this phone is unlockable on your own.

It doesn't cost a fortune, only $30 ish.

What did you mean saying you want to unlock your 5130? To unlock from T-Mobile for using it with other providers or to flash the soft and etc? As for the first option, it's free from T-Mobile. You have to be a customer for more than 3 month and call them saying that you are planning to make a trip to Europe. Within 24 hours they will send you email with full step-by-step instruction how to unlock it (with their official code). They're not gonna kill you if you will try it earlier.
I did it more than 5 times with all different T-Mobile phones and planning to do this in future.

The easiest method of unlocking a handset is by code unlocking. This requires a number of details about the handset, including:

IMEI for the phone
Handset model
Network
Country

These details are used by UniquePhones.com to generate your unlocking code, which is sent to you via email along with instructions on how to use it. Once keyed into your phone, any existing restrictions are removed.

If the code that you tried to used wasn't generated for your handset the it wouldn't work.

You have to do one simple thing. Call T-Mobile customer service and tell them that you would like to unlock your phone because you flying to Europe. That's all. Within 24-36 hours they will send you unlocking instructions by email. I did it already many times. Good luck!
