The FCC has recently approved the Nokia X2, which was announced in India a couple weeks ago, has now been approved for the U.S. The Nokia X2 is a GSM/EDGE only device and can be presented on any non-CDMA carrier such as T-Mobile, AT&T and Rogers since it has quad-band connectivity.
Although the FCC has approved the Nokia X2 for the U.S., it doesn't necessarily mean that the phone will launch here. India should receive the handset first since it was announced 2 weeks ago and has yet to be launched. The expected launch date for the Nokia X2 for India is in June for about 85 ($110). Features of the Nokia X2 include:
* 2.2 inch QVGA display
* S40 UI
*Stereo Bluetooth
*3.5mm headset jack
*Stereo FM radio
*Opera Mini
*MicroSD card support
*5MP fixed-focus camera with LED flash.
