Can someone Help with my Nokia X2-00 email issues

Hi, for the past while each time i turned off my x2-00 it lost all my email accounts and i had to reinsert them each time again, as of today the phone won't even accept my private mail account setting it just says that i much check my settings. i have updated the software and i'm still faced with the same problem. can someone help me sort this out so that i can check my emails on my phone.
