How-to: Nokia 5.1: Block/Unblock Calls & Messages; Manage Call Forwarding

Block Calls:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Access “All contacts”
3. Select the phone number/contact you want to block
4. Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
5. Enable “All calls to voicemail”

Unblock Calls:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Go to “All contacts”
3. Tap the contact you want to unblock
4. Tap “Edit” > “Menu” and disable “All calls to voicemail”

Block Messages:

1. Launch Google Messages
2. Select the conversation exchanged with the phone number/contact you want to block
3. Tap “Menu” > “People & Options”
4. Tap “block [phone number]” > “OK”

NOTE: The conversation and future messages from the blocked contact will be archived. Notification alerts are disabled fir all archived messages.

Unblock Messages:

1. Open Google Messages
2. Tap “Menu” > “Archived’
3. Select the conversation exchanged with the contact/phone number you want to unblock
4. Tap “Menu” > “Unarchive”
5. Tap “Menu” again and access “People & Options”
6. Tap “Unblock [phone number]”

Enable Call Forwarding:

1. Open “Phone”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
3. Go to “Call forwarding” (this feature might be unavailable if it isn’t supported by your carrier)
4. Enter or edit the phone number you want to use for call forwarding
5. Tap “Enable”

Enable Conditional Call Forwarding:

1. Launch “Phone”
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Go to “Settings” > “Call forwarding”
4. Select to forward calls “When unreachable” “When unanswered” or “When busy”
5. Enter or edit the phone number you want to use for call forwarding
6. Tap “Update” / “Enable”

Disable Call Forwarding:

1. Open “Phone”
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Go to “Settings” > “Call forwarding”
4. Select the forwarding option you want to turn off
5. Tap “Disable”
