You can't change the contrast on the RH-9 (3530) screen. It is backlit by LEDs, like the monochrome phones.

Most lcd screens are backlit by led, like 3510i's is,so you can't change their luminosity, but i think that contrast can be regulated separately via software.
My old 3210's display was also using leds, but i could adjust his contrast with a data cable end a little utility called "nokiaprofiler", which doesn't work with newer color phones.
Anyone knows if a similar utility exists for the 3510i?
