Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an Internet connection you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes and click the iPhone
- Access Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu and log in with your Google account, or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts From iCloud:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer with Internet access, and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts and select the desired contact
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the following:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Once the vCard is done, tap Email
- Write a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- Switch to the Android device and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use for contact transfer, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types-cross platform, without requiring a PC.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android device via the Play Store
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, choose a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
