Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone once connected
  3. Access the “Info” section
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the sync is complete, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account
  4. Access “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Once the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the following steps:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts without computer access.

  1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. After the vCard is done, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third-party app you can use to share your iPhone contacts is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring access to a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Android phone from the Play Store
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired transfer method and tap “Send”
