everything is worth the money if you use it to the best of it's own abilities. For me i find that getting my email as soon as someone sends it is very critical in my line of work. With Nextel I had a 7520 and upgraded to a 7100i and unless RIMM has their service shut down in the U.S. I won't be going to another unit.

I find that if you need to get/respond to email for business purposes, that it is well worth the money. I get on average 40-50 emails a day and reply to 25-30 a day on my blackberry, mostly after I get home from the office. it is well worth the money to me, especially since my company picks up the bill.

My BB7100i is for personal primarialy for personal use but I do use it for work as well. I dumped a i860 and a Compaq PDA for the 7520 then upgraded to the 7100i the day it came out. I wont do just a regular phone again! So for me the BB is worth every penny if not more!

I work for Rogers and when my boss went to China, he gave me a Blackberry 7100g to use. Well I haven't given it back. I don't need it but it sure beats checking your email all the time and the PIM messaging is awesome. There is also the fact that my boss can enter info into the computer and I can retrieve it whenever I want. The bluetooth rocks and I'm not looking forward to giving it back. I plan to keep quiet until he begs for it.

IT seems if you read the boards and here what people say about the blackberry it is obvious the the use of this phone is awesome and also when you start using it you will NOT want to give it up..
Again thou, as it comes to all phones, What is your needs?
What do you want it for?
Are you in businesss?
There are many questions to ask yourself to determine what functions you want and which ones you can do without.
It is apparent that the trend for phones is to include connectivity to the internet. I was reading an article last friday and Smartphones (another word for a PDA phone that has internet capabilities and email functions) are going to be the rage this year.

Yea connecting to the internet is very popular but some phones it just isnt all that functional.... In fact alot of times it can be a real pain in the butt to get to any particular site and really be able to view a page..... It was pretty good on the Treo though.... The Blazer browser they use was pretty deceint. What browser does BB use? or does it depend on your carrier?

Tha blackberry's use a blackberry browser and I can reach almost any page. I get all the attachments from my emails and I can even open the pictures and save them to my phone (smart way to pretend it's a camera phone). Anywho, I like the blackberry browser better than the Treo browser and I definately had lots of issues with crashes. I did the upgrade and it didn't really help.
