Blackberry Pearl 8130 problem!!

I guess my problem is back. This is the second time its happened. I returned my first pearl because of the same thing. But now i realize it wasnt my phone, its something that i did, or forgot to do.

I have a grey ABC icon covering my service bars...you know, above the "1XEV"

What is it... i cant get rid of it, and its making my phone lag. I hope SOMEONE knows what im talking about?

I really dont want to return this phone too!!

I have an ABC icon COVERING my signal bars at the top right corner of my 8130 pearl. it wont go away, and its draining my battery, and lagging my phone. please let me know what i can do... i had this same problem with my first BBP a few days ago.... please help???

Have you turned off your SureType? The regular ABC makes the phone type without the suretype. Try a battery pull and see if that fixes it or I'm sure there's a setup option for it under the 'Setup' icon.

The Blackberry site under the 'support' tab is where you can find your answer. I entered "ABC" in the search. The previous poster is correct - this walks you through it. Hope that helps!

yep, had the same problem as you. like the above poster said...check out the bb website, it'll walk you through the fix, thats how i fixed it
