Enable Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen using two fingers
  2. Tap the “Battery Saver” quick toggle to enable the feature
  3. Open “Settings” for additional options
  4. Tap “Battery” > “Battery saver”
  5. Tap “Turn on automatically” and select a battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: By disabling the phone’s connectivity features when unused, such as Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
  4. Tap the “Wi-Fi” switch OFF
  5. For Hotspot options, tap “Tethering & portable hotspot” and disable the feature
  6. To turn off Bluetooth, tap the “Bluetooth” switch OFF

NOTE: You can also enable “Airplane mode” to turn off all the connectivity features.

Change GPS Settings:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Scroll to and tap “Location”
  3. Tap “Location” again
  4. Disable “GPS”

Forget Wi-Fi Networks:

NOTE: You can forget saved Wi-Fi passwords for networks you no longer use. By doing so you can prevent the phone from scanning networks unnecessarily, and improve battery life.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Tap “Wi-Fi” and turn the feature ON if necessary
  3. Tap “Menu” and go to “Saved networks”
  4. Select the desired network
  5. Tap “Forget”
