    i have nextel
    motorola 1850
    data cable on the way
    where can i find ringtones that i can load with data cable free i hope?
    then i need to find out if i need mp3, midi or what kind for my phone
    and i need to if a how to on loading them with data cable
    also if i cant use mp3 can i convert them to what i need ? how?

    You can make your own ringtones by using programs like Hidden Content to edit existing midi files down to 30 seconds, and if you have knowledge of sheet music, write your own midi ringtones! (Those are the 'polyphonic' tones btw). I use Hidden Content to create mp3 ringtones from downloaded songs. If you hate webjal it's not the only "jal" out there (java application loader i think?) Some people use myjal instead. You could google that one Hidden Content Hope this helps!

    with the jal programs can i load tones from my harddrive to my phone?

    yes, that's exactly what it's for, well that and loading java apps to your phone. it's a neat program, i have only gotten to dabble with it a little but there is a lot you can do with it.
