Here's the scenario:
Yesterday my Samsung Galaxy S suddenly stopped receiving signal from the carrier. I can see the signal, but my phone wont connect to the preferred network (or any network for that matter). Otherwise the phone functions normally. Wi-fi works just fine and besides not being able to call and text in/out, everything seems normal. I have not rooted the phone or messed with the phone or advanced settings in any way. The only change ive made during the last days was to uninstall apndroid and fix the apns. The error im getting says something like (roughly translated): "You've lost the dataconnection because you left your home network with roaming turned off", except ofc that i havnt left my home network at all :P
What ive done so far:
- Tried to choose service operator manually
- Changed between network modes (GSM/WCDMA/Auto)
- Turned airplane mode on/off
- Turned WiFi on/off
- Roaming on/off
- Checked IMEI number
- Inserted a new SIM card (problem prevails even with new sim)
- Reset the device to factory settings
Im out of options and i couldnt find a quick fix by googling it, so im hoping you guys would be able to help me out
