Performing a Factory/Hard reset
The factory or hard reset is used when you want to reset a device to its factory settings. Its recommended that you use this feature only if youre having issues with your smartphone, as performing the factory reset will erase all the data from your phone, which includes Google accounts as well as other email accounts, all the application data, settings and downloaded apps. However, the factory reset wont erase the system software or apps and files stored on the memory card.
To perform the factory reset:
1. Go to the Home screen and press the Menu key.
2. Tap Settings -> Privacy.
3. Tap Factory data reset and follow the onscreen prompts to perform the reset.
