We have a new Galaxy S 3 and need it to work with a hands-free speaker in the car.
We have tried 3 devices, all with the same result. Incoming calls are ok, just press the hands-free "call" button and talk.
The problem is outgoing, pressing the call button does not cause a voice prompt from the phone. The phone will display a "what do you want to do?" message but does not voice prompt or accept voice commands at that point.
The phone will accept voice commands to place a call by itself, but not with the blue tooth speaker.
We tried Motorola 325, Jabra Cruiser, and SAMSUNG HF1000, same result on all. Tried Verizon tech support, Samsung tech support with both phone person and an accessories person (twice, total 3 1/2 hours) and still no answer. They do not support their HF1000 because it is foreign manufactured.

Phone is new, 3 weeks, speakers are new except T325. All work with other phones.

    Thanks!
Not using and app, just basic phone calling.

I have found that the hands-free loudspeaker on the phone was actually quite loud. If you are adding speakers, it should sound even better. I am not aware of any apps, but you really shouldn't need any if you have speakers. You might want to get your phone checked.

That's not the issue - the issue is voice dialing through a bluetooth device on the SIII.

Right. S voice isn't very good comparatively.

Installed Jeannie, but don't know how to make it override S voice. The S Voice screen appears when the call button is pressed, just like before. Also, Jeannie lists several things like changing data, sending messages w/o owner knowledge, charging to place calls, etc. which are negatives.
    Can anyone help?

Does that include audio/voice prompts from the phone, heard on the speaker, when placing an outgoing call?
Or, do you have to hold the phone and place the call as if no hands-free and then just use the speaker when the connection is made?
