Adding a Shortcut from the Apps Menu:
- Press the "home" button
- Swipe left or right to navigate to the desired home screen
- Tap the "All apps" icon to access your apps drawer
- Scroll through the list and tap and hold the desired application
- While holding the icon, position it on the current home page and release it to lock the shortcut in its place
Adding a Shortcut Through the "Add to Home scree" Option:
- Navigate to the desired home page
- Tap and hold an empty area on the home screen
- Under "Add to home screen" , tap "Apps and widgets", "Folder" or "Page"
- Press and hold a shortcut from the list and position it on the current screen
Deleting a Shortcut:
- Press the "Home" button and navigate to the desired home screen
- Tap and hold the shortcut that you wish to remove
- Drag the icon over the "Remove" icon and then release it
Adding / Removing "Favorites" Shortcuts:
You can add or remove the shortcuts from the favorite apps bar, except for the "All apps" button. To do so:
- While on the home screen, tap and hold a "primary" shortcut and drag it on an empty space on the home screen
- Open the app menu and browse for the desired app
- Tap and hold the app and drag it on an empty space in the primary shortcuts area
Adding and Removing a Widget:
- While on the home screen, navigate to the desired home page
- Tap and hold an empty area on the screen
- Tap "Apps and Widgets"
- Go to the "Widgets" tab located at the top of the screen
- Tap and hold the desired widget, drag it on the current screen and release the widget. This should lock it into place if there is enough room
To remove a widget:
- Tap and hold the desired widget until it is unlocked from the home screen
- Drag the widget on top of the "Remove" icon, and release it
Moving Icons in the Apps Menu:
- Tap the "All apps" icon located on the home screen
- Tap the "Apps" tab at the top of the screen
- Tap the "menu" button > "View type"
- Select "Customizable grid"
- Tap "Menu" > "Edit"
- Scroll through the list and locate the shortcut that you want to move
- Tap and hold the icon, and drag it in the desired location
- After finished editing the apps menu, tap "Save"
Creating Application Folders:
- Tap the "All apps" icon located on the home screen, and go to the "Apps" tab
- Tap "Menu" > "Edit"
- Tap and hold the first application that you wish to be moved in a folder
- Drag the icon over to the "Create folder" icon (depicting a folder and a "+" sign)
- Enter a name for the folder and tap "OK"
- Now you can drag other apps on top of the folder
- Tap "Save" when ready
Adding a New Page to the Apps Menu:
- While on the home screen, tap the "All apps" icon
- Go to the "Apps" tab
- Tap "menu" > "Edit"
- Tap and hold the application that you wish to move to a brand new page
- Drag the icon on top of the "Create page" icon, depicting a white page associated with a "+" symbol
- Tap "Save"
Changing the Wallpaper:
- From the home screen, tap and hold an empty space on the screen
- Tap "Set wallpaper"
- Select the location where you wish to change the wallpaper, such as "home screen", "lock screen" or "home and lock screens"
- Select one of the following options:
- Gallery: select a wallpaper from your photos
- Live wallpapers: choose from a live wallpaper. This option is not available for the lock screen
- Travel wallpaper: this is an option that displays a series of recommended travel destinations. This option is only available for the lock screen
- Wallpapers: select from the default still-life wallpapers
- Select the desired wallpaper, and then tap "Set wallpaper" or "Done"
Adding a New Home Screen:
- From the home screen, press the "Menu" key
- Tap "Edit page"
- Press the home screen that contains the "+" button
- To rearrange the new home screen, tap and hold it, then drag it in a different location
Deleting a Home Screen:
- From any of the home screens, press "Menu" > "edit page"
- Tap and hold the home screen that you wish to remove
- Drag it on top of the trash can that appears at the top of the screen.
- If there are items on the home screen (such as widgets or shortcuts), a "Remove home screen page" prompt will pop-up
- Tap "OK" to confirm removing the home screen and the items associated with it, or tap "Cancel"
