Bluetooth Management

Enabling / Disabling Bluetooth:

  1. Tap the "All apps" icon located on the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings" > "Connections"
  3. Press the "On / Off" slider associated with "Bluetooth" and enable this feature

Bluetooth Settings:

  • To access the Bluetooth settings menu:
    1. Press "All apps" > "Settings" > "Connections" and make sure that Bluetooth is enabled.
    2. Tap "Bluetooth"
  • To change your Bluetooth name:
    1. Tap "Settings" > "More" > "About device" > "Device name"
    2. Type in the Bluetooth name for your device and tap "OK"
  • To make your device visible:
    1. While on the Bluetooth settings menu, press "Menu" > "Visibility timeout"
    2. Select a time-out value for your device's visibility
  • To show received files:
    1. While in the Bluetooth settings page, tap "menu" > "Received files"

Pairing Bluetooth Devices:

  1. Make sure that Bluetooth is active
  2. In the Bluetooth settings page, tap "Scan"
  3. After the scanning process is complete, select the device that you wish to pair with. (Make sure that the other device is visible, else it won't appear after the scanning process)
  4. If prompted to do so, enter the passkey or PIN code, then tap "OK". NOTE: by default, most devices have the passcode "1234" or "0000"
  5. Accept the pairing on the other device

Disconnecting a Paired Device:

  1. Make sure that Bluetooth is active
  2. Access the Bluetooth settings page and select the previously paired device
  3. Tap "OK" to confirm the disconnection

Deleting a Paired Device (Unpair):

  1. With Bluetooth enabled, go to the Bluetooth settings page
  2. Tap the "Settings" icon (depicted as a cog wheel) associated with a previously paired device
  3. Tap "Unpair" to delete the paired device
  4. You can also:
    • Tap "Rename" to change the name of the paired device
    • Tap "Call audio" to enable or disable call audio from the device
    • Tap "Media audio" to enable or disable media audio from the paired device

Sharing Contacts Through Bluetooth:

  1. Make sure that Bluetooth is active
  2. While on the home screen, tap "Contacts"
  3. Tap "Menu" and select "Share namecard via"
  4. Select the contact that you wish to send via Bluetooth
  5. Tap "Done" > "Bluetooth"
  6. Select the device that you wish to send contacts to
