Managing Contacts
Adding a New Contact:
- Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
- Tap "Contacts" and go to the "Contacts" tab
- Press the "+" button and select one of the following locations from the pop-up window: NOTE: if the pop-up doesn't appear, tap the "drop-down" arrow located underneath "Save"
- Device
- SIM
- Add new account, and follow the on-screen prompts to add an account
- Enter the contact's phone number in the appropriate field, type in a name for the contact and add any other details
- Tap "Save" when ready
Adding a Contact to Speed Dial:
- Press the "Phone" icon located on the home screen
- Tap the "Keypad" tab if necessary
- Press the "Menu" button and select "Speed dial setting"
- Select the number that you wish to use for speed dialing
- Choose the contact that you wish to assign for the selected dial pad number
- If more than one phone number is saved in the contact, select the desired one
Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SD Card:
- Launch the "Contacts" application and access the "Contacts" tab
- Press the "Menu" key and tap "Import / Export"
- Perform one of the following sets of steps:
- To copy contacts from the device to the SD card:
- Tap "Export to SD card"
- Press "OK" to confirm
- To copy contacts from the SD card to the device:
- Tap "Import from SD card"
- Select the account on which you want to save the contact (If no account present, contacts will be imported on the device's internal storage)
- If necessary, when the "Save contact to" window pops-up, choose one of the following:
- If there's only one contact file on the SD card, the contacts will be automatically imported
- If there are multiple contact files:
- Tap "Import vCard file" / "Import multiple vCard files" or "Import all vCard files"
- Tap "OK", choose the vCard file to import (if necessary) and tap "OK"
- To copy contacts from the device to the SD card:
Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SIM Card:
- From the home screen, tap "Apps"
- Tap "Contacts" and go to the "Contacts" tab
- Press the "Menu" button and tap "Import / Export"
- Perform one of the following:
- To copy contacts from the device to the SIM card:
- Tap "Export to SIM card"
- Choose the desired contacts or tap "Select all"
- Tap "Done" > "OK"
- To copy contacts from the SIM card to the device:
- Tap "Import from SIM card"
- Select the account you want to import the contacts to. (NOTE: if you aren't logged in an account, the contacts will be stored on the phone's memory)
- Mark the check boxes next to the desired contacts, or tap "Select all"
- Tap "Done"
- To copy contacts from the device to the SIM card:
Deleting Contacts:
- Launch the "Contacts" app and swipe to the "Contacts" tab
- To delete contacts from a single list (such as Google contacts), press "Menu" > "Contacts to display" and choose a list
- Press "Menu" > "Delete"
- Mark the check boxes next to the contacts that you wish to remove, or tap "Select all"
- Tap "Delete" > "OK"
Managing Contact Groups
Creating a New Caller Group:
- Access the "Contacts" app and go to the "Groups" tab
- Press the "Menu" key and tap "Create"
- Enter the desired group name
- Swipe up and press "Add member"
- Mark the contacts that you wish to add to the group, and tap "Done"
- Tap "Save"
Adding a Contact to an Existing Caller Group:
- Tap the "Apps" icon from the home screen and tap "Contacts"
- Access the "Groups" tab and select the desired group
- Press "+", or otherwise press "Menu" > "Edit" > "Add member"
- Mark the check boxes associated with the contacts that you want to add. Optionally, you can tap "Select all"
- Tap "Done" > "Save"
