Home Screen Management
Changing the Wallpaper:
- While viewing the home screen, tap and hold an empty area
- Tap "Set wallpaper"
- Choose the location of the wallpaper, such as "home screen", "lock screen" etc.
- Choose one of the following:
- Gallery: allows you to set a wallpaper from your photos
- Live wallpaper: allows you to set a live wallpaper. (Not available for the lock screen)
- Travel wallpaper: sets a wallpaper that shows recommended travel destinations (Only available on the lock screen)
- Wallpaper: choose a wallpaper from the default list
- After selecting the desired image, tap "Done" or "Set wallpaper"
Adding a New Home Screen:
- From any home screen, press the "Menu" button
- Tap "Edit page" and press the empty screen containing the "+" button
- You can reposition the new home screen by tapping and holding it
Deleting a Home Screen:
- While viewing a home screen, press "Menu" and select "Edit page"
- Tap and hold the desired home screen
- Drag the home screen on top of the "Trash can" icon
- Assuming that there are items on the home screen, you will be prompted to confirm
- Tap "OK" (otherwise, tap "Cancel")
App Drawer Management
Moving Icons in the Apps Drawer:
- From the home screen, tap the "All apps" icon
- Access the "Apps" tab
- Press "Menu" and select "View type"
- Tap "Customizable grid"
- Press "Menu" and tap "Edit"
- Locate the shortcut that you wish to move
- Tap and hold the desired shortcut, and drag it to a different location
- After you've finished editing the menu, tap "Save" to exit edit mode
Adding a New Page in the Apps Drawer:
- Open the "All apps" menu from the home screen
- Access the "Apps" tab
- Press "Menu" > "Edit"
- Since a new page can't be empty, tap and hold the app that you wish to move to a new app menu page
- Drag the app on top of the "Create page" icon depicted a "+" sign
- Tap "Save"
Creating App Folders in the App Drawer:
- Tap the "All apps" icon while on the home screen
- Touch the "Apps" tab
- Press the "Menu" button and tap "Edit"
- Tap and hold the app that you wish to move in a new folder. Then, drag the app on top of the "Create folder" icon with a "+" sign
- Type in a name for the folder and then press "OK"
- Drag other apps in the folder, and tap "Save" when ready
Adding and Managing Shortcuts and Widgets
Adding / Removing a Widget:
- To add a widget, tap and hold an empty area on the home screen
- Tap "Apps and Widgets" and go to the "Widgets" tab
- Tap and hold the widget that you wish to add
- Drag the widget on the home screen and release it. If there's enough room on the home screen, the widget will be locked in place
- To remove a widget, go to the home screen containing it, tap and hold the widget and drag > drop it on top of the "Remove" icon
Adding a Shortcut on the Home Screen:
- Navigate to the home screen on which you wish to add a shortcut
- Tap the "All apps" button
- From the apps drawer, tap and hold the desired app
- Drag the icon on top of the current home screen and release it to lock it in place
Deleting a Shortcut:
- From the home screen, navigate to the desired page (containing the shortcut)
- Tap and hold the desired shortcut
- Drag the icon on top of the "Remove" icon
Adding or Removing "Favorites" Shortcuts:
The shortcut bar at the bottom of the home screen can be customized, by replacing the existing "primary" shortcuts with different ones. (NOTE: all primary shortcuts can be replaced, save for "All apps"). To do this:
- From the home screen, tap and hold the app on the shortcut bar, and drag it in an empty area on a home screen
- Tap the "All apps" icon and browse for the desired app
- Tap and hold an app and drag it in the empty area on the shortcut bar
