Managing Contacts
Adding a New Contact:
- Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
- Access the "Contacts" tab
- Tap the "+" button and select to store the contact on the "Device", "SIM card", "Google" or "Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync"
- Enter the contact's name in the appropriate field
- Type in the contact's phone number, and add any other type of information that you see fit
- When you've finished editing the contact, tap "Save"
Adding a Contact to Speed Dial:
- Tap the "Phone" icon while viewing the home screen
- Tap the "Keypad" tab if necessary
- Press the "Menu" icon and tap "Speed dial"
- Select the number you wish to use for speed dialing
- Select the contact that you want to assign to the speed dial number
Deleting Contacts:
- Launch the "Contacts" application and go to the "Contacts" tab
- Press "Menu"
- Tap "Delete" and mark the contacts that you want to remove
- Tap "Done" > "OK"
Importing / Exporting Contacts
Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SIM Card:
- Launch the "Contacts" app
- Go to the "Contacts" tab and press "Menu"
- Tap "Settings" > "Contacts"
- Tap "Import / Export"
- Perform one of the following sets of steps:
- To export contacts to the SIM Card:
- Select "Export to SIM card"
- Select the contacts that you want to export, or tap "Select all"
- Tap "Done"
- Press "OK"
- To import contacts from the SIM card:
- Tap "Import from SIM card"
- Choose an account or the location where you want to import the contacts
- Mark the check boxes associated with the desired contacts. NOTE: optionally you can tap "Select all"
- Tap "Done"
- To export contacts to the SIM Card:
Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SD Card:
- From the "Contacts" app, go to the "Contacts" tab
- Press the "Menu" button
- Tap "Settings" > "Contacts"
- Select "Import / Export" and perform one of the following:
- To export contacts to the SD card:
- Tap "Export to SD Card"
- Tap "OK" to confirm
- To import contacts from the SD card:
- Tap "Import from SD card"
- Choose the location where you want to import the contacts
- Select to "Import vCard file", "Import multiple vCard files" or "Import all vCard files"
- Tap "OK"
- If necessary, select the vCard file that you want to import and tap "OK"
- To export contacts to the SD card:
Importing / Exporting Contacts from USB Storage:
- Open the "Contacts" app
- From the "Contacts" tab, press "Menu" and tap "Settings"
- Tap "Contacts" > "Import / Export"
- Select to "Export to USB Storage" or "Import from USB storage"
- Follow any additional on-screen steps to complete the process
Caller Group Management
Creating a Caller Group:
- While on the home screen, tap the "Contacts" shortcut
- Go to the "Groups" tab depicted as a "+" symbol under "Favorites"
- Tap "Create" and enter a name for the group
- Tap "Add member" and mark the check boxes next to the contacts that you wish to add
- Tap "Done" > "Save"
Adding Contacts to an Existing Group:
- From the "Contacts" app, access the "Groups" menu
- Select a group
- Tap the "+" icon
- Mark the contacts that you want to add to the group
- Tap "Done"
