NOTE: After you have exported the VCF file on the Note II, you can transfer it over to the Galaxy Note 4 by connecting both smartphones to a computer via USB and manually copy-pasting the file to the Note 4's storage. Then, open the "Contacts" app and import the file's contents as explained above

Using "Send Anywhere":

Last but not least you can also use third party applications such as "Send Anywhere" to get your contacts over to the Galaxy Note 4. Send Anywhere allows you to transfer your contacts via a p2p connection, without requiring access to a computer. To use this method:

  1. Access the Google Play Store and install "Send Anywhere" on both of your smartphones
  2. Open the app on both handsets
  3. On the Samsung Galaxy Note II, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  4. Mark the contacts you want to transfer and tap "Send"
  5. Select the desired method of transfer. By tapping "Generate QR Code" on the Note II, you can begin the transfer by scanning the resulting code with the Note 4's camera.
