Transferring Audio Files

Transfer Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Samsung Galaxy E7 to your computer via USB
  2. Swipe the "Status" bar down and make sure your smartphone is connected as a media device
  3. In the AutoPlay window on the PC, click "open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
  4. Launch another Windows Explorer window and use it to find the desired audio files stored on your computer
  5. Copy the files and transfer them on your phone's storage (first Windows Explorer window)
  6. Once the transfer is complete, click the "Mass Storage Device" icon located in the system tray, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect it from the OC

Transfer Files from a Mac:

NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on your Mac, skip to step 4

  1. Launch the Internet browser on your Mac
  2. Visit Kies and click "Download for Mac OS"
  3. Follow the on-screen steps to install Kies on the Mac
  4. Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy E7 and Mac
  5. Ensure your phone is connected as a "Media device"
  6. Launch Kies on the Mac
  7. Click the "Folder" icon associated with "External memory" or "Internal memory" (where you wish to transfer the audio files)
  8. Use the Mac's file explorer to find the desired audio files
  9. Drag the files and drop them in Kies
  10. Once the transfer is done, drag the Galaxy E7 storage icon into "Trash / Eject" and disconnect your device

Set Custom Ringtones & Notification Sounds

Changing the Ringtone:

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Open "Settings"
  3. Tap "Sound"
  4. Swipe to "Ringtones and Notifications" and tap "Ringtones"
  5. Select the ringtone you wish to use and tap "OK"

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings" and tap "Sound"
  3. Swipe to "Ringtones and Notifications"
  4. Tap "Notifications" and choose the audio track you want to set
  5. Tap "OK" to confirm
