Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy On7 and computer
- Swipe the Status bar down and make sure the phone is connected as a Media device (MTP)
- Open an Explorer window on the computer and locate the media files on your PC
- Copy the files, and transfer them back on your phone, preferably in the Ringtones / Notifications folders under the Media directory
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB connector
Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:
NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on the computer, skip the first 3 steps.
- Open the Internet browser on your Mac
- Visit Kies Support
- Click Kies 3 for Mac, and install Kies on the computer
- Connect the Galaxy On7 to your Mac via USB
- Swipe the Status bar down and make sure Media device (MTP) is enabled
- Launch Kies on the Mac
- Inside Kies, click the Folder icon associated with Internal memory or External memory
- Open a file explorer window on the Mac, and locate the desired audio files on your computer
- Drag the files and drop them inside Kies
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage by dragging the virtual drive into the trash can / eject icon
- Safely disconnect the phone from the USB connector
Add Audio Files to the Ringtone List:
NOTE: After transferring the audio files from a computer, you can add them to the ringtone list by performing the following:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Sounds and notifications
- Tap Ringtones and sounds under Sound
- Tap Ringtone > Add ringtone
- Complete the action using Sound picker
- Tap Always or Just once
- Select the desired audio files and tap Done
Change the Phones Ringtone:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Sounds and notifications
- Tap Ringtones and sounds under Sound
- Tap Ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Tap Back to save the changes automatically
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
- Open Contacts
- Select the desired contact
- Tap Edit (icon shaped like a pencil)
- Tap Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
- Tap Save
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open the apps drawer and go to Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Sounds and notifications
- Tap Ringtones and sounds under Sound
- Select the desired notification sound
- Tap back to save the changes
