Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy A7 and computer
- On the phone, drag the Status bar down and enable Media device (MTP) if necessary
- Open an Explorer window on the computer
- Locate the desired audio files on your PCs hard drive
- Copy the files and paste them on the phone storage, in the Ringtones and Notifications directories
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray, and safely disconnect the device from the USB
Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:
NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on your Mac, you should skip the first 3 steps below.
- Launch the Internet browser on your Mac
- Visit Kies Support
- Click Kies 3 for Mac, then install Kies on the Mac once downloaded
- Connect the Galaxy A7 to your Mac via USB, and make sure its connected as Media device (MTP)
- Launch Kies on the Mac
- In Kies, click the Folder icon next to External memory or Internal memory
- Launch a file explorer on the Mac and locate the audio files you want to use as ringtones / notifications on your phone
- Drag the files and drop them inside Kies
- Once the transfer is done, drag the phones virtual drive into the Trash can icon to eject it, and safely disconnect the device from the USB
Change the Phone Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch Settings and scroll to Sound and Display
- Tap Sounds and notifications
- Tap Ringtones and choose the desired ringtone
- Tap OK to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Go to the Settings menu
- Scroll to Sound and Display
- Tap Sounds and notifications and then tap Notifications
- Select the desired sound and tap OK
