Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Galaxy A3 to your computer via USB
  2. Swipe the “Status” bar down and enable “Media device (MTP)”
  3. Launch a File Explorer window on the PC
  4. Navigate to the desired audio files on your computer and copy them
  5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” and “Notifications” folders under the “Media” directory
  6. Once the transfer is done, click the “Mass Storage Device” icon in the system tray and eject the phone storage
  7. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

NOTE: In case Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, you should skip the first 3 steps below.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac
  2. Visit Kies Support
  3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” and install Kies
  4. Connect the Galaxy A3 to your Mac via USB
  5. On the phone’s home screen, drag the “Status” bar down and make sure “Media device (MTP)” is turned on
  6. Open Kies on the Mac
  7. In Kies, click the “Folder” icon associated with “Internal memory” or “External memory”
  8. Open the file explorer on the Mac
  9. Locate the desired audio files on the computer
  10. Drag the files and drop them in Kies
  11. After the transfer is complete, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and into the “Trash can” icon to eject the device
  12. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Sound and Display”, and tap “Sounds and notifications”
  4. Tap “Ringtones”
  5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Sounds and notifications” under “Sound and Display”
  3. Tap “Notifications”
  4. Select the desired notification sound and tap “OK”
