Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Galaxy A9 to your computer via USB
- Swipe the Status bar down on the phone and enable Media device (MTP) if necessary
- Launch an Explorer window on the computer and locate the desired audio files on your computer
- Copy the audio files you want to use, and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones and Notifications folders
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray, and safely disconnect the device from the USB connector
Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:
NOTE: In case Samsung Kies is already installed on your Mac, skip the first 3 steps below.
- Open the Internet browser on the Mac
- Visit Kies Support
- Click Kies 3 for Mac and follow the on-screen prompts to install Kies on the Mac
- Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy A9 and Mac
- On the phone, swipe the status bar down and make sure Media device (MTP) is enabled
- Launch Kies on the Mac and click the Folder icon associated with Internal memory or External memory
- Open the file explorer on the Mac and locate the audio files you want to use for ringtones / notifications
- Drag the desired audio files and drop them inside Kies to begin the transfer
- After the transfer is complete, drag the phones virtual drive from the desktop into the Trash can, and safely disconnect the device from the USB
Change the Phone Ringtone:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Sound and Display and tap Sounds and notifications
- Tap Ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK
Change the Notification Sound:
- Access the Settings menu
- Scroll to Sound and Display, and tap Sounds and notifications
- Tap Notifications
- Select the desired notification sound and tap OK
