    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal”
    4. Tap “Backup & reset”
    5. Enable “Back up my data” to back up Wi-Fi passwords, app data, and settings to your account
    6. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to be automatically restored upon the next login with the backup account

    Back up Contacts via Samsung or Google Account:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Launch “Contacts”
    3. Tap “More” > “Settings”
    4. To save contacts to your Google or Samsung account, tap “move device contacts to”
    5. Return to “Settings” and tap “Accounts”
    6. Choose an account and tap “More” > “Sync now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above will be automatically restored upon the next login with your Samsung or Google backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Open the Internet browser on your computer
    2. Visit Samsung Smart Switch? and click to get "Samsung Smart Switch for PC”
    3. Install the application on your computer and, once done, connect the Samsung smartphone to your PC via USB
    4. On the smartphone, enable “Media device (MTP)” from the notification area, and if necessary allow your computer to install any necessary drivers
    5. Launch “Smart Switch” on the computer
    6. Open the File Explorer and locate the desired media files on your phone
    7. Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the computer
    8. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. To restore media files from your PC, first you will need to follow the first 5 steps above
    2. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    3. Use the Explorer to locate the media files backed up on your PC
    4. Copy the files and navigate to the phone storage
    5. Paste the files in the “Media” directory on the phone, preferably in the folder(s) they originate from
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac:

    1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Visit Kies Support and click “Kies 3 for Mac”
    3. Install Kies on the Mac and once done, connect the Samsung Galaxy Express Prime to your computer via USB
    4. Enable “Media device (MTP)” on the phone, either from the pop-up or the notification area
    5. Switch to the Mac and open Kies
    6. Access the “Back up / restore” tab
    7. Click the “Backup” tab and tick the boxes associated with “Music”, “Photo”, and other media file types you want to back up
    8. Click “Backup” and once the process is done, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and into the “trash can” to eject it
    9. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:

    1. Follow the first 4 steps above
    2. Open Kies on the Mac and access the “Restore” tab
    3. Check the boxes next to “Music”, “Photos” and / or other media file types you want to restore
    4. Click “Restore” and, if necessary, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process
    5. Once the restore is done, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it into the trash can to eject it
    6. It’s now safe to disconnect the smartphone from the USB cord
