Enable Battery Saving Mode:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch Settings
- Scroll to System
- Tap Battery
- Tap the Power saving mode switch to enable the option
- Select a battery percentage to enable Power saving mode automatically
Turn On Power Saving Mode:
- Open the Apps drawer
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to System
- Tap Battery
- Tap the Ultra power saving mode switch to enable the option
- Tap Agree
- Once the mode is turned on, tap + if you want to add more apps on the ultra power saving mode home screen
Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:
- Launch Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Display
- If necessary, turn off Automatic brightness
- Tap Screen timeout
- Select a lower timeout value, such as 15 seconds
Turn Off Connectivity Features When Unused:
NOTE: By disabling Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Connections
- Tap the switches associated with the connectivity options you want to disable
Switch to 2G Networks:
NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you dont have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can improve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G connectivity.
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Connections
- Tap More connection settings
- Tap Mobile networks > Network mode
- Select GSM only
Disable Background Data:
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Connections
- Tap Data usage > More
- Tap Restrict background data
- Press OK to confirm
Change Sync Settings:
NOTE: By reducing the amount of data synced by your accounts / apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Personal
- Tap Accounts and select the desired account type
- Select an account
- Clear the check boxes associated with the sync options you want to disable
- Tap Menu when ready, and tap Sync now
Minimize Third Party App Usage:
NOTE: Certain third party applications can affect battery performance even when unused, due to the fact that certain apps perform regular background processes. As such, by disabling or removing unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Device
- Tap Applications > Application manager
- Swipe to Downloaded and select the desired app
- Tap Turn off / Disable
- Alternatively, to remove the app, tap Uninstall two times
