Sync iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync the contacts on y our iPhone with a Google account. Then you can sync the account data – including contacts – with the Samsung phone.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB (using the Lightning cable)
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and go to “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. Once done, switch to the Samsung device and register the same Google account used in iTunes
  8. Set the account to share contacts with your phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for use on the Android device.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings”
  6. Click “Export vCard”
  7. Once the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, follow one of the steps below:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts”, or:
    • Connect the Samsung phone to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer with an active Internet connection, alternatively you can transfer your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”
  3. Wait for the backup file to be done and tap “Email”
  4. Make sure the vCard backup file is attached to the email
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Samsung device and open the email
  7. Download the vCard attachment and import it using “Contacts”

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use on both Android and iOS is Send Anywhere. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types without requiring a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Samsung device
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method such as “Receive” on the Samsung device or “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone
  7. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the transfer
