Restore Contacts from an SD Card Backup:
- Launch Contacts
- Tap Menu > Settings
- If necessary, tap Contacts to display and select All contacts
- Tap Import / Export contacts
- Tap Import from SD Card > OK
Restore Media Files from the SD Storage:
- Open the Samsung folder and launch My Files
- Tap SD Card > Menu
- Tap Edit and tick the boxes associated with the media files you want to restore
- Tap Menu > Move
- Select Internal storage and tap Move here or tap the folder name to restore the media files to a different location
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Samsung phone to your computer via USB
- Enable Media device / File Transfer at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate and copy the media file backups on the computer
- Transfer the backup files in the Media folder on the smartphone
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:
- Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB
- Enable File Transfer / Media device at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open Kies on the Mac and go to Back up / restore
- Access the Restore tab and tick the boxes associated with Music, Photos and other media file types you want to restore
- Click Restore and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
- Once the process is done, drag the phones virtual drive from the desktop and drop it over the trash can icon to eject it
- You can safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
