Galaxy note 5 repair

I need advice, I dropped my note 5 and need to replace the lcd digitizer screen. The cost is $275.00. Trying to decide should I buy a new phone? I've been looking at the note 4 my daughter has one and she has to charge it constantly. I think my running system on my note is smoother and faster. I don't watch movies or play games on my phone but i do read books on it that's why I want the big screen. Do you think I'm making a mistake spending so much on the rePair? I can't find a new note 5 only refurbished ones.
