Restore Contacts from SD:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Applications” > “Contacts”
  3. Select to “Import/Export contacts”
  4. Tap “Import” > “SD card”
  5. Select to import a single or multiple vCard files
  6. If necessary, select the vCard you want to restore
  7. Restore the contacts on “Device storage” or sync them with Google

Restore Contacts from Google:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “User and Backup”
  3. Access “Accounts” > “Google”
  4. Tap your user name or email address
  5. Make sure “Contacts” is checked then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

Restore Media Files from an SD Card:

  1. Open “My Files”
  2. Go to “Local storage” > “SD Card”
  3. Tap “more” > “Edit”
  4. Tick the boxes associated with the media files you want to restore
  5. Tap “More” > “Move” > “Device storage”
  6. Select the desired folder or tap “Create folder”
  7. When ready, tap “Move here”

Restore Media Files from a PC:

  1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
  2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the PC
  4. Locate the media file backups on the computer
  5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in folders from where they originate
  6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Restore Media Files from a Mac:

  1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
  3. Launch Kies on the Mac
  4. In Kies, go to the “Restore” tab
  5. Tick the boxes associated with “Music”, “Photos” and other media file types you wish to restore
  6. Select the files you want to restore or tap “Select all”
  7. When ready, click “Restore” and wait for the process to end
  8. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
