NOTE: You can check this thread for a guide on how to back up app data, contacts, and media files on the phone.
Restore Contacts from SD Storage:
- Open Contacts
- Tap Menu
- Go to Settings
- If necessary, tap Contacts to display and select All contacts
- Tap Import/Export contacts > Import from SD card
- Tap OK
Restore Media Files from SD Storage:
- Launch My Files
- Go to SD Card
- Tap Menu > Edit
- Tick the boxes associated with the media files you want to restore
- Tap Menu > Move
- Select Internal storage and tap Move here or:
- Tap Create folder or the folder name to restore the files to a different location
- When ready, tap move here
Restore Media Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
- On the phone, enable Media device / File Transfer at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media file backups on the computer
- Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
- After the transfer ends, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:
- Connect the Android device to the Mac via USB
- Enable File Transfer / Media device at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open Kies on the Mac
- Go to Back up / Restore
- Access Restore and tick the boxes associated with Music Photos and other media file types you want to restore
- Click Restore and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
- Once done, drag the phones virtual drive from the desktop and drop it over the trash can to eject it
- You can safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
