Clear App Cache/Data:
NOTE: If one of your apps causes problems or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these issues by clearing the apps cache and/or data.

- Open Settings
- Go to Application
- Tap Application manager and go to All or Downloaded
- Select the desired app and tap Clear cache
- If clearing the apps cache didnt help, tap Clear data > OK (check WARNING above)
Wipe the Cache Partition:
NOTE: If your phone crashes, freezes, runs out of storage inexplicably or otherwise doesnt work as intended and youre considering factory resetting it, you can alternatively try and solve these issues by clearing the phones cache partition. This can have results similar to a factory reset, without losing personal data from the phone storage.
- Turn the phone off if necessary
- Press and hold Power Home and Volume Up simultaneously
- At the Samsung logo, release Power
- At the Android screen, release the other buttons as well
- Once in Android Recovery, press Volume down repeatedly to highlight Wipe cache partition
- Press Power to select the option
- Once the cache partition is cleared, ensure Reboot system now is highlighted
- Press Power one last time
NOTE: If clearing the cache partition didnt help, you can check this thread for a guide on how to factory reset the device instead.
Reboot in Safe Mode and Remove an App:
NOTE: If one of your third-party apps causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to remove the app while in Safe Mode. In this mode, all third-party apps are disabled by default.
- Turn the phone Off
- Press and hold Power
- At the Samsung logo release Power and immediately press and hold Volume down instead
- Wait for the phone to reboot. Once done, it should display a Safe Mode watermark in the lower area of the home screen
- To remove an app, go to Settings > Applications
- Access Application manager and select Downloaded
- Select the app you want to remove and tap Uninstall
- Once done, exit Safe Mode by rebooting your device as you would normally do

Re: Samsung Galaxy J6: Clear App Cache/Data; Wipe the Cache Partition; Boot to Safe Mode
Thanks for sharing these steps.
Clearing app cache of individual apps is very helpful. A few days back, I've used it on Facebook and Instagram apps.
It helped to get around 2 GB of free spaced. I've not performed any kind of cleanliness since I've purchased this smartphone.
Apart from your steps, the following guide helped me a lot:

And your safe mode method is very helpful. Thanks to this guide, I'm using my phone without any issue.
Thanks!
