Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then you can sync the account data with the Android device.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and go to Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing one
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and log in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts
- Select the desired contact and click Settings > Export vCard
- Once done, follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use the Contacts app to import the vCard
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app you can use to back up and share contacts over email.
- Install the app on the iPhone from the App Store
- Launch the app and create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Compose an email and attach the vCard
- Send the vCard to your own email address
- On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using the Contacts app
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts without requiring computer access.
- Install the app on both devices via the Play Store and App Store
- Open the app on both devices
- Tap Send > Contacts on the sender device
- Select the desired contacts
- Tap Send and select a transfer method on one of the phones
- Follow the prompts to complete the process
